Full-Frame Image Sensors for Cinema
Remarkable sensitivity, latitude and colour rendition. Designed specifically to preform for the demands of high-end cinematography. 8K sensors offer an extraordinary resolution of 8640 x 5760, as opposed to 6K which offers up to 6048 x 4032.
High Frame Rate
With the 8K, VENICE 2 can achieve up to 60fps at 8.2K and 90fps at 5.8K. Shooting speeds of up to 120fps at 4K and 90fps using 6K.
More colours, more freedom
The Sony Venice 2 offers a wider colour range than DCI-P3 and far exceeds the BT.2020 colour space. Offering an exceptionally broad pallet in the grading suite so you can beautifully reproduce the true colours of the scene. The Sony Venice 2's 8K sensor enables maximum freedom in post-production editing.
Phenomenal Latitude
The Venice 2 excels at High Dynamic Range imaging. The 8k sensor has 16 stops of latitude which delivers phenomenal images from searing sunlight to low lit scenes.
Seamless Shooting
The Sony VENICE 2 offers priceless ease during a demanding shoot. With control displays on both sides of the camera, you have fast access to settings and complete flexibility of control during shooting.
The Power of 16-bit
The Sony Venice 2 supports internal recording of X-OCN or 4K ProRes recording straight to AXS memory card. X-OCN resets the standard for high end cinematography workflows. Efficient space saving, preserves 16-bit colour depth.
